After the Pre-Season Test for the Asia Road Racing Championship, Round 1 start on the same week in
Chang International Circuit, Thailand.
Zaqwan gets the P.P.
On Day 1 Practice, the track condition for the each rider’s feelings better on the Dunlop Tires than Pre-Test as heavy rain started on 1st Feb18.
During qualifying, #21 Zaqhwan after getting a perfect suspension settings on Day 1 he went the early session with the #634 Koyama & #20 Azroy for some runs to warm up on their pace. Three MuSASHi Boon Siew Honda Racing pit-in for tires change and pit-out together. #21 Zaqhwan is the teacher for the team and breaks the time record with 1:38.469s which claims him pole position while #634 Koyama in grid 9 with 1:39.520s and rookie #20 Azroy in grid 13 with 1:39.585s.

A great start for MuSASHi Boon Siew Honda Riders, #20 Zaqhwan remains infront from his rivals while #634 Koyama & #20 Azroy overtakes the rivals infront on the not to be separated from the top group. In Race 1, #21 Zaqhwan was overtaking each other with rivals #33 Yudhistira & #59 Ratthapong which makes top 3 separate with them. On the last lap last corner #21 Zaqhwan overtakes both rivals and claim himself 4th position, #634 Koyama in 7th position and #20 Azroy in
For the Warm-up session, mechanics makes some change on the settings for 3 riders after looking on Race 1 condition as 3 stop & go in Turn 1, 3, 12. #20 Zaqhwan using the used tires and clocks in 1:38.577s which makes team members ready for Race 2.
In Race 2, #20 Zaqhwan in the top group going smooth with the race pace but in the last corner in lap 3 wildcard rider #100 Thitipong had electronic failure which #20 Zaqhwan had to avoid from crash and was drop into 7th position. That didn’t stop #20 Zaqhwan courage, He slowly overtakes his rivals lap by lap and in the last lap he tries to overtake 2 rivals to claim himself 2nd position but when entering the last corner there were a slight hit with #59 Ratthapong and low sided.
#20 Zaqhwan stand up and finishes the race in 13th position, #634 Koyama in 5th position and rookie #20 Azroy in 8th position.
Rider Overall Championship – Tomoyoshi Koyama placed 5th with 20 points, Azroy Hakeem placed 11th position with 13 points and Zaqhwan Zaidi in 10th position with 14 points.
Team Awards – MuSASHi Boon Siew Honda Racing in 5th position with 24 points.
